thankya,thankyaverrmuch for the photos.

Are there certain days of the week that the kite boarders are not there? We really enjoyed this dive and would like to do it again on a future visit.

When we want to dive the sites around the kite-ers hangout we go early like about 0730. They generally are not early risers.

Sometimes my dive buddies are not either, so I go by myself.

Great report. I loved the pic at the Salt Pier!
Thanks. And that photo is actually under that little pier at Bari. It was just alive with fish that day!

Yep, that would likely be a solo dive for me too. :D

The dive at the kite school location was about as easy entry as you can imagine but very sandy.

Wow! What a week!

[snip]

a total of 22 dives and 22.5 hours underwater.

Were you sick 2-3 days?

:crafty:

:rofl3: Well there was the minor limiting factor of the missing dive truck for almost a full day...

I love the convenience they provide and we've rented from them for a long time without a blip, but there have been sounds of distant drums and rumblings about reliability here recently. I'm taking my young daughter in June for 1 week - new job caused her to miss our last trip, little vacation for new-hires, but at least she is hired - and really don't want to deal with any impediments during a 1 week trip.

I know Roger didn't think much of E1R's Chinese trucks, but I may get Leanne to set us up with them this time as a trial run.

Agreed. We have rented from them and E1R. Less than thrilled with E1R, that's why we changed to Telerin. At this point, I don't know who we will use next trip.

Apparently Roger has his own person truck that he gets every year. Leanne suggested I ask specifically for that one next time. :D

Keep in mind that you ONLY hear the "rumblings" on these sorts of things. Thousands and thousands of people NEVER start a thread/post saying "No problems with truck in Bonaire!" But you'll hear from the handful of people who did... over and over again. Human - and internet forum - nature.

EDIT: wasn't sure if you meant rentals in general, or a specific agency. My comments stand either way.

yea, you're right. That kind of stuff starts routinely I guess. A short trip has got me hyper-sensitive this time.
