No plate at the moment, but I'm thinking a SS FredT because of the great things I've been hearing about his work.

I'm going to be working out my weight while diving down in Belize in a couple of weeks. If you do the 10%+10 rule, I fall at about 29 lbs, but personally I think it's a little too much -- at least to have on my waist. Of course, less weight for warmer water, thinner wetsuit, etc., but it will give me a good idea of where to start for next spring.

I'd be psyched with a SSBP and a MUCH lighter waist belt or possibly Halcyon ACB? Not sure what the consensus is on that system, tho. I'd love to get as much off my waist as possible...

FredT=Great product. I have not seen Halcyon's first hand but have seen dive rite, abyssmal, and deep outdoors. I like the FredT the best.
The weight thing is one of the main reasons for me going this route. Went from 20lbs to 12lbs on the waist. This makes all the difference in the world!

PK:
Wow, I go to Marblehead all the time to visit friends and I've always wondered if the diving is any good. Thanks for letting us know! What species did you see?

The lighthouse is also nice because you can easily park right there.
Can anyone comment on Marblehead diving and the parking situation? The folks of a good friend live directly across Marblehead beach, but if there's not a need to call in a favor, I'd rather not.

Is the diving around Marblehead rocky or sandy? Any lobster besides around this lighthouse?

Thanks in advance,
Louie

I dive a HP120 with the 27# wing. When it's fully inflated on the surface, it gets my head/shoulders out of the water but it would be nice to float a little higher! But that being said, I like the fact that's it's so streamlined, especially when diving in the islands (when less is more).
