diver69...Wayne explained the silicone thing pretty well, I didn't realize it was used for so much stuff! Basically what I use is the liquid silicone in a pump bottle that you can get in dive shops, I've been told it was food grade. Do NOT use the aerosol can stuff.

Thanks Dee.

And Thanks Sargeant for the gerat info on the many uses of liquid silicone.

Will be looking for it on my next trip to LDS.

Gilligan:
I posted a step by step process with photos on my PT-010 site for removing the back panel plungers.

Gil, That's great information, but Im scared to death to do that to my camera housing! Is it as complicated as it looks? Maybe I'll try the silicon thing first! Kudos for you for giving it a go!

I just pulled the on/off & Mode dial switches on my PT-015. After a year and 100+ dives, I noticed some small salt deposits on the top of the mode dial controller and the on/off switch was turning the Mode dial as well. It was a good thing that I did as there were significant salt deposits on the shaft. A quick clean, relube of the orings, and reassembly should give me another 100+ dives before I have to worry about that fitting. The rest of the button shafts have now been siliconed (is that a word?). Everyone should look very carefully at the on/off/Mode dial as that appears to be the weak spot for leaks.
