I've purchased two (lost one to the sea) and they generally appear in dive groups
like "scuba for sale" etc etc

I've had several. One is my American Express. It has my pick sausage attached and I don't leave home or the boat without it.
I lost one off the back of a dive boat (the boat had large openings with no mesh in the transom for drainage) right in front of the inlet. I got a call 6 months later from some vacationing Canadians who found it and returned it to me!!
It was a little corroded and had a few barnacles starting to grow on, but nothing that wouldn't clean up. I make sure it is clipped on to something all the time now!!
