I just don't log dives
I recently acquired a Manta regulator necklace, but the opening for the reg is a bit too big.

I was going to use a ty-wrap to tighten it a bit, but was wondering if anyone has another suggestion first.

(Please don't suggest that I make one with surgical tubing and throw the Manta away, I know about that option already. I'm specifically wondering about fixing the Manta.)

Thank you!

My original bungee necklace with cord and two small tie wraps - it worked great....until I left it behind after a dive in the St. Laurence River......

I now use a black Manta necklace; the hole seems quite small........is your reg exceptionally small?

Hope this helps........M

Artima, I had the same problem with my Manta necklace and just used ty wraps. It works fine and is the best solution.

I used zipties to make it smaller.

I did eventually discard it, but that was because it was too long.

No, the necklace is being used to hold the backup reg.In an air sharing situation I would donate my primary reg and I would breath from the backup.

I suppose you could try zip tying the necklace to your reg. Kinda the same way you zip tie a bungee to the mouthpiece. Not sure how it would work.

Greetings Artimas, I think there are some really small wire ties that would achieve what you desire or you could use small bungee line to tie the ends off. I have a similar necklace that is actually just a little big over all. I hope this helps, if all else fails build your own custom necklace from bungee. I know you want to make this one work but at the end of the day fit does matter!
Dive safe and have fun! I love playing with scuba gear!
CamG Keep diving....keep training....keep learning!

Jorgy-

It's a DR2500. Pretty average, I guess. I don't own anything that's "exceptionally small":no::D

I see you're from Syracuse. Go Orange!!!
