Dived at the dam this afternoon, gorgeous weather, not a puff of wind...the surface was absolutely glass-smooth. Not shabby for mid-November.

70F at the surface, no thermocline, temp at 110' a balmy 68F.

Vis was outstanding...25', but deteriorated somewhat going away from the dam face.

Found a nice stainless spear shaft and tip, perfect condition.

Let's get a group together and go diving. I got a new mask last week (and some new wings, but I didn't buy the plate yet) that I want to try out... Who's in?

OHS is getting a dive together at Barstows for Sunday, November 22 at noon.
I will be at Mansfield Park tomorrow morning testing my rebreather.

This working nights has put a huge dent in my BT. But it ends after Thanksgiving..... off to Lousiana to build yet another casino and hotel..... Maybe there's some diving to be found at Toledo Bend or Sam Rayburn...
Ya'll have a safe and fun weekend.....I'll be moving stuff Sat. and working Sunday to get Wednesday night off prior to the holidays.
By the way.....HAPPY TURKEY DAY, everyone. :D

So it's official, huh? I've been waiting for you to tell me April Fool's or something but I guess I can quit holding my breath! I'm really gonna miss ya, Dive Bud.

You're only 2 hours away so get my room ready!!! :D :D

Given the arrival of the front - we switched to Mansfield and an intrepid crew of 6 from OHS showed up and had a great dive!

As reported by Cyclon - 68 degrees from surface to 90 feet. Vis was a local astounding [25 feet sounds right - I was seeing more stuff on this dive than I will on 2 to 3 in the summer]!

Two were having fun with their drysuits - the rest just dove wiht alittle more rubber than nornal.

Ron was good enough to do his first dive early and thus had dogs & other treats ready when we came back.

I'm looking forward to our New Years Dive already.

Why wait till New Years Day? We'll be doing some more diving in December.
