Does anyone know of anyone making or selling low cost manometers for servicing regs?

I'm seeking a simple, low-cost vinyl tubing model that uses colored water.

I can't seem to find anyone selling them in kit form, or all the componets to make one.

I am seeking to attach a Peter Built regulator test 'mouthpiece' attachment to it so it can be used for checking cracking pressures...

????????

You can make one simply by stapling some 3/8" or so hardware store vinyl tubing to a board. Make a U-shaped sump, a foot or so deep, with the two columns an inch or so apart. Screw a cheap wood ruler in between them, or just make marks at .5" increments. The difference between the water level in the two columns, when suction is applied to one side, will be the vacuum in inches of water.

Don't be surprised if it isn't very useful - the water tends to surge and move too quickly as suction is applied to make getting an accurate reading reliable. So I sure wouldn't pay much for one. But some people like them, and they are enlightening to play with for a while.

The water test - immersing the pressurized second stage in water with the mouthpiece pointing up and seeing how deep it gets before it cracks - will tell most of us everything we need to know, with a lot less fuss.

Thanks Oxyhacker,
I guess I'll just do that and not even bother making one...
