I finally got the doubles worked out. I ordered a set of Bands from Victor (Detroit Mudpuppy), and I picked them up from the PO today and installed them no problem! These bands are really nice. The welds and the finish are much better than the Dive Rites I had. The bolt holes are even nicely deburred and countersunk.
Thanks for letting us know the outcome! Great to hear that you got it worked out, and probably learned a lot about setting up doubles at the same time that you can now share with others on SB down the road. I have to agree, that the bands on the right in the picture don't look at all like DRs. The ones in the middle don't either, but then I am no expert of all bands DR has shipped / sold.

Oh yeah. It was actually kind of neat to have three bands on hand at one time to compare the construction. I definitely owe a couple answers down the road.

Glad you got it all sorted out. Detroit Mudpuppy makes awesome quality bands, doesn't he? I'll likely be getting another set from him for my 3rd set of doubles that are out at hydro now.

The middle ones are not dive rites. DR's should be 2.5 inches wide and unless the ones on the left are really really wide, the bands in the middle look to be pretty narrow, like 2 inches wide.

DR has never used tack welds on their bands and the ones on the right are definately not DRs. You got shipped some hokey el cheapo bands, I would return them.
