Hi!

I'll probably be in the Maldives at the end of the year and was thinking of trying the Baani Explorer. It looks very good boat and the price is very fair

Anyone ever been there? Any feedback?

Thanks!
Pedro

plc,
i was on a liveaboard in 2003, but not the baani.
hands down, it was one of the best dive trips i've been on yet.
if you have never dove in the indian ocean get ready to see alot of different coral and fish.
regards,

You found the rite guy. My wife and I were on the boat last week. Let me say this is the rite boat. First off saw my first two Whale Sharks! Also Manta point was named perfectly.
The two night dives we did were the best I ever did! (diving 23 yrs.)The diving in a word,
Great!
The boat and crew were wonderful. The boat was a little warm but I hear they are fixing that. the cook was wonderful!

If you want to know more let me know.

Thank you greenflash1!

I hope I can see those whale sharks too!
Few more questions.

What areas of the Maldives did you go?
this time of the year is supposed to be rainy season...was it?

Thanks in advance

the Weather was great, took a chance and it paid off. We dove the Male Atolls Mantas there and Ari Atoll Whale sharks there.

Hi, we are going on the explorer in March 2008. Do we need to take SMBs/reels or are they provided. I don't travel light so every little helps :O)
