As you know, the best freediving wetsuits are made of 100% Genuine Yamamoto neoprene from Japan. They offer more stretch,
more warmth and more comfort than any other wetsuit.

3D Ocean Blue and 3D Reef Camo Open Cell Wetsuits are now in stock!

3mm, 5mm, and 7mm

Starting at only $284.95

And, because our MAKO / Yamamoto wetsuits are sold direct to you, the diver, there is no dive shop markup.

So, our MAKO / Yamamoto freediving wetsuits actually cost less than non-Yamamoto suits sold at dive shops.

Thanks, Guys, for taking time to read this.

Are these suits good for scuba diving as well as free diving? Or do they compress too much for scuba?

I'd love to hear from someone who's actually using it for scuba (not that I don't trust you Dano).

I read that review. Thanks.

The Mako suits are legit. I bought both a 7mm and a 3mm about 5 years ago and can attest they are the best fitting and warmest wetsuits I've tried for scuba. They pack well for travel, do not hinder movement, are a breeze to don and doff, and dry faster to boot. I've dived them in cold mountain lakes and warm reefs, from shallow bimbles to moderate staged decompression dives. I have no complaints.

I've worm my very well used 3mm suit on a deco dive to 135' with bottom temps in the upper 50's. Was I cold? Hell yes! I was in a 3mm at 130 feet in 59 degree water! But it was manageable for the short bottom time. Water temps came up significantly off the bottom (mid 90s for the top 15 feet, thus the choice for the 3mm to begin with).

I have hundreds of dives on my mako suit, and thousands in free diving suits of other brands. They are the best option available. I am truly befuddled as to why scuba suits haven't adopted the technology of free diving suits over the last 20 years.

Now if Dano would just bring back the solid black option...

Here's a review I did back in 2019.

Wow, thanks for the positive reviews! As many of you know, we sell direct, so we have no dive shops or retail establishments promoting our gear - we rely on word of mouth.

We are seriously considering adding a black option as well, but the turn around on that is many months.

Thanks!
