Why get two DR Duos when you could get two separate brands running two separate algorithms? After hearing some nice stories about the He, I'd stick to one of the Duos and grab another brand. Or just jump to the VR3 so you can run backup tables on mixes.

I am not a fan of running 2 diff. brand computers and algorithms (run in full mode or GAGE mode). I agree the VR3 is a great unit,,,,just out of my price band for now.

Well, I'd personally, especially when comparing two computers, would love to dive two different brands, and figure out each of the algorithms' strengths and weaknesses. I could see running two computers with comparable algorithms and diving to the more conservative one.

And btw, Ian, why VR3 in color? Are you waiting for the television feed to hook up on one, or does underwater frogger look better in color? Personally, b&w would be just fine for the time being. That's a 500 dollar savings for a true luxury underwater.

Okay, let me clarify, I got the slate with the tables ON MY OTHER ARM... following those to the T, and back referencing the other computers to see where they stand against a known and trusted algorithm.
