[INLINE=left]http://blog.force-e.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/Make-a-Wish-300x225.jpg[/INLINE]Sunday (Dec 16, 2012) was a very special day at our Force-E Pompano store. We had the honor to fulfill a wish for a very special kid through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Hunter is 16 and his wish is to learn to scuba dive. So we recruited Force-E Instructor, Sean Meadows, to grant his wish.
Hunter walked into the store to meet Sean and go over what the class entails. To his surprise, we walked into a pizza party with his family AND a brand new set of top of the line scuba equipment! Equipment included an Aqua Lung Legend regulator, Balance BCD and Suunto D4i wrist computer.
Since Hunter was little, he has loved the water. He love to go fishing and is a member of Sea Scouts. Currently, Hunter is working on his PADI eLearning, and then will move onto his pool sessions and ocean dives.
Force-E is grateful to the Make-A-Wish Foundation for this opportunity to make a wish come true! If you would like to help other great kids get their wishes, please consider donation this holiday season here: Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Southern Florida » Donate
About Make-A-Wish Foundation[INLINE=right]http://sfla.wish.org/wp-content/blogs/logos/017-000/wht_bar.gif[/INLINE]
Since 1982, the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Southern Florida has given hope, strength and joy to children with life-threatening medical conditions. From their humble beginnings with one boys wish to have a computer, theyve evolved into an organization that grants a local childs wish every 16 hours. This year, Southern Florida Chapter is celebrating 28 years of granting wishes to local children.
The Foundation grants the wish of any child who is between the ages of 2 ½ - 18 and diagnosed by a physician as having a life-threatening medical condition. Children may be referred by the childs physician, parents or legal guardians, social worker or other healthcare professional or even themselves.
