WOW...

I was looking at some other reports and they said it was Southwest Industrial Gases Inc. There has now been two persons in critical taken to the hospital.

My office is about a quarter of a mile away. What a sight. You could feel the concussions from the explosions inside our building. The sight of those gas cylinders sailing thousands of feet through the air was awesome...until they started landing near us. I'm not kidding, we are talking about flaming, six foot gas cylinders traveling about a thousand feet. For those of you that a familiar with the area, I saw several flaming gas tanks shoot across IH 35, and land in the parking lot of Reunion Arena. Some my have have landed on or near the Hyatt Regency. That is when we decided to shut down, and get the heck out of there. An unexpected holiday for this State employee.

I understand now that a half mile area around the gas company has been evacuated.

I heard one flew across Industrial Blvd. and landed on the roof of Reunion Arena. :11:

I usually take 35 to work, but chose to take 635 today. I would have been right in the middle of all that.
