I was wondering if when you send regulators off for service How do they know if the parts warrenty is really for the person who originally bought the regulator? If the item has been serviced every year at the LDS and you sell the reg and the new owner sends the reg out for service how does the repair facility know that it is not from the old owner?

In most cases the warrenty has been registered, often by the original retailer.

Even though it has been registered if you have the warranty card and you give that to the mail order can't they use it to get reimbursed from manufacture?
