Just wondering if there is any good shore diving off of magnetic island?

Do not think there is any good shore diving in Queensland north of Brisbane from what I have read.

Anything you can suggest Brisbane and South of?
Thanks

Very little south of Brisbane either until you get to Nelson Bay (north of Newcastle) and then Sydney. You can dive the Gold Coast Seaway and the Tweed River, that is about it.

Very low viz off Magnetic Island. not worth it unless you can get a trip to Wheeler Reef.
Are you staying in that area? If so look at day or overnight trips out of Townsville as they pick up from Magi Island.
If you are travelling south there are quite a lot of good places. Sunshine Coast just north of Brisbane has the HMAS Brisbane wreck as well as some great sites.

Nice Thanks, I'll have to check it out on my way through.

All replies from people who obviously have never dived Maggie. There are some nice dive sites there, different from the outer reef of course and generally low vis but fantastic diving non the less. The place is absolutely crawling with nudibranchs of a large number of species. Also there are a number of bays to dive which face in different directions so you can usually find somewhere sheltered. Don't overlook it if you've never dived there.
