Yes they flood... when turned on.

They're aces until that point.

I did the original T&E on these for an un-named governmental agency. They were packaged and marked as "waterproof to xxx feet" so we gave them a try.

Like I said, amazingly waterproof... until you turn them on. Then, upon surfacing, boy- did they explode.

Inova brand- the same deal.
 
I ended up not diving at all. I went down to monterey friday night, and i got there at 830. I asked two guys what it was like, and they said 3 feet visibility, with heavy surge. At about 930, our scheduled dive time, there was heavy lightening, which was very cool. We decided to play it safe, and go eat at bubba gump shrimp co.
