Some boat operators do offer last minute prices a week or so before the sailing date, though not all do. It's a gamble, and in my opinion, only worth taking if you have a significant flexibility in dates so that you can hang around waiting to see if a last-minute opens up on a boat you want. If your dates are fixed, I don't think it's worth the possibility of being disappointed.

Quite often the boats that offer best value for money don't.
The witch did not have last minute offers, and i think that policy will remain unchanged.
