Lynx Specs?

In my understanding of technology, the only way to get a long distance target direction is a sonar like technology. If Liquivision will incorporate it in a low (guess) cost consumer device, that will be a a revolution

Interesting technology. Will the protocol (if not the implementation) be open, so various brands can communicate with each other? Also, if it's based on sonar, isn't noise polution going to be a problem?

I noticed that the LiquiVision website updated the info on the Lynx. The overview page still says availability is set for Fall 2012 yet all the other pages say Early 2013. When will the full Lynx Kit be available to the public and what all is included in it?

The Lynx will begin shipping in late January 2013. We will fill pre-orders in the order that we receive them. The normal Lynx kit is one wrist unit and one transmitter for $1399. If you're eager to get a unit in late January you should pre-order as soon as possible.

Hi Doug,

The Lynx will be offered in several kits, so there will be the option to get it with the transmitter, PC Interface, Zagg Full-Body shield and choice of disposable or rechargeable battery packs.

The kit with the transmitter, all accessories and disposable battery option will cost $1,499. Rechargeable option will be $60 more.

There will also be an option to purchase one handset but multiple transmitters at a discount. Great if you want to track your kids!
