any reason why you chose a 14cf?

If you compare the specs on the Luxfer 14 to any of the 13 cu.ft. tanks, there are several advantages: (1) the low pressure of only 2015 psi will be easier for me to fill from other tanks with a tank equalizer, (2) the full weight is less than the 13's, and (3) the full buoyancy is closer to neutral which will mitigate the lateral trim effect from mounting it to the side of my main tank. The bad news is that Luxfer has discontinued these, and nobody else has anything similar.

Good luck John. I have been hoarding the LP 14s for a few months now. Been tough to come by...I have bought about 4 in the last 6 months. I use them on my Rebreather as, as you point out, it is easier to fill an LP 14, particurally if you don't want to boost O2.

That being said, I have been told by an industry friend that one of the tank manufacturers will be marketing an LP17 in the very near future. Specs will be very close to the Luxfer LP14.

oh, okay. I understand now.
