The manual for the raZor Bat wing recommends the large dia. inflator hose should be positioned on the left side and fed via the left SM tank (bungeed regulator) when using a wetsuit. But should be switched to the right side and fed via the right SM tank (7' hose) side when using a drysuit. And guessing drysuit lpi would be feed via the left SM tank.

I was cave certified on a raZor (Bat Wing 2.5) in a wetsuit but was never got an explanation why to change the inflator hose position if switching to a drysuit. Can someone explain the logic behind this?
 
Drysuits are almost universally fed from the left side. Single tank, doubles, SM, with or without a suit gas bottle, etc. It's convention and avoids various hose traps tight to the chest or conflicts with a long hose under a light canister. Wings in doubles are fed from the right or primary post.

Pretty sure Bogaerts is/was trying to be consistent across platforms when developing the razor and related training materials. I confess I don't exactly know the point of moving the LPI to the left side when in a wetsuit, I would just leave it on the right.
 
The left side is "for you" and the right side is for your buddy.

In an OOG scenario, you could be responsible for bouyany for yourself and you're teammate. Having the dry suit hose on the left allowes you to manage squeeze if you have to descend, as well as manage buoyancy without have to use up your teammate's gas.

This is why breathing tanks down in the right and keeping them closely balanced makes sense.
 
I run both Dry and wetsuit. Putting the lpi running off the left tank when wet just makes it easier to deploy and restow long hose. I run drysuit off left because i like to remove as many tanks as possible getting out and i prefer suit gas.
The last step gearing up in this configuration is to attached wing lpi hose last on top of your longhose, or its trapped.

I was trained on the raZor using a 5mm wetsuit in Mexico. Was taught while gearing up to first clip on left bottle, then put bungeed reg around neck and hook up wing inflator from left bottle. Right bottle with 7' long hose was clipped on next making sure tank bolt snap wasn't through the stowed long hose bend (which would be discovered during gas sharing drill anyway). reverse was used for ungearing. Not having anything except the long hose coming off the right tank made it easier to remove and replace that tank underwater if needed (tank off restrictions, exit, etc.).

Later when switching to a drysuit for longer dives, I just kept the lpi on the left as most manufactured SM rigs have it on the left and ran the drysuit inflator off the right tank 5th port. Making sure the drysuit inflator was connected last and over the 7' hose for proper deployment (which again, would be picked up during the pre-dive air sharing drill). I prefer disconnecting wing gas last when getting out.
