Do you have your wing low on the tank? I use a 22" LP with a 16" corrugated (drysuit long story) and it fits fine with my regs and wing position. All Oxy wings with Apeks/HOG 1st stage. Wetsuit diving 18" LP and 12" corrugated. Obviously YMMV.

Tank vs wing position is at its optimum places. The issue is the location of corrugated elbow. Most wings have it at the back side panel. oxycheq has it at the top edge, making the same length corrugated hose hang down lower.

I have three Oxy wings and have 12" corrugated and 18" BC hoses and find the length to be just right. If you are using same set up and find the hose too short I'm wondering what is different. I guess we must have plate/wing at different heights on the tank. Our trim requirements must be different i.e my wing/plate sits higher. Maybe we could compare photos. I'm curious now. A 20" hose would be a tad too long on my configuration. Interesting. Could the hose routing on our first stages be a contributing factor?

I may just have pictures of my setup from 2010.

Alot of things have chagned including the corrogate hose, but tank and wing position haven't. I use the upper groment on the wing (so the wing is slower). I also use a STA with a offset cam band slots with top band at the break of the tank neck area (so tank is as low as it can be)

Thanks for the photo, I'll post one after I go diving this weekend as I don't have a tank on hand. Cheers

The LP hose looks too long.

The LP on the octo is actually 22" It looks long because it is kind of limpy (miflex type). But that was 3 years ago before I went into GUE fundamental. The following changes was either needed or recommended to enter the class:
1. Transmitter and 6" HP hose are gone (required)
2. Hose protector on the atomic 2nd stage is gone. Bolt snap attached next to the metal fitting (needed for proper fit and placement)
3. Transplate harness was replaced by basic one piece webbing harness (required)
4. Corrugated hose went from 18" to 12" (Recommended)
5. bungee on the necklace was redone by zip tight. (required)

After that I have made a few more changes (on my own):
1. Oceanic Neo octo replaced by another atomic 2nd stage ( I prefer the overall quality of Atomic and ease of service the entire set)
2. DiveRite standard size SS plate replaced by Halcyon Small size SS plate (I need smaller, steep band plate to solve head bumping 1st stage issue)
3. Oxycheq 40lb MkV wing replaced by Halcyon Eclipse 30lb (Still have oxycheq, but H is an overall "easier" wing)

I was using (with Oxycheq 30) a 12" corrugated hose with a 15" lp hose and it was perfect (with wing slightly higher than yours). I agree about the "ease" of the Halcyon wings and am now a convert.

OK, I just realized that you were using an inverted swivel regulator and I was confusing the hp hose with the lp hose. In my configuration, with a DSV-looking HOG 1st stage, the wing was just under the lp hose (which is about where your hp hose is in the picture).
