I'm thinking of replacing the corrugated hose on my Oxycheq wing with a 12" one from Dive Rite.

What would be a suitable LPI hose length, assuming I'm diving singles?

I like the 16" (w/o pull dump) on my DR wing. For me, 12" would be a little short.

I too switched to 12" corrugated hoses from DGX on my Oxy wings and use an 18" LP hose. Works fine for me. I did switch to the braided hose as a little more flexible. I dive Apeks FSR/DS4 and HOG D1 1sts, single tank.

If you're doing singles, a 12" corrugated hose should be good with something in the 16"-18" range, depending on how you set your tank in the bands and what reg you're using. I prefer something closer to 14" for the LPI, because it's pulling the whole assembly back up to the top of the left shoulder, where I like it.

Thanks, that sounds like the setup I want!

It is but give it a chance. When I opened the box and saw it I thought I screwed up and should have ordered the 16". When I installed it fit just right.

For oxycheq wing, due to the location of the elbow, I recommend a 20-22" lip for 12" corrugated hose. Essentially, the same length of corrugated hose on an oxycheq wing hangs lower than say a halcyon wing.

Do you have your wing low on the tank? I use a 22" LP with a 16" corrugated (drysuit long story) and it fits fine with my regs and wing position. All Oxy wings with Apeks/HOG 1st stage. Wetsuit diving 18" LP and 12" corrugated. Obviously YMMV.

I agree with you on this. I received the 18" hose and hooked it up today, and found that it is a smidgen too short :( 20" would be better.
