Lover's or Break Water (Sunday)

During our nitrox class, our instructor told us that one of the other instructors from the shop has been down there. Today, it was like glass around parts of Monterey. Mark and I are planning on heading down in the morning and either meeting up with ProDiver_CA or hitting MacAbee - if anyone else is interested or around. If you are going to be down and want to hang out - dive and do El Torito for a drink/late lunch - PM me and I'll send my cell #. Cheers!

We dove BW and conditions were really nice, visibility at 25 feet... We took a look at Lover's and it looked calm but not as clear from surface vantage so we headed back to BW...

Here is a pic at BW, a gorgeous tube anenome and the second pic is at Monastery beach; I finally got my wife to watch me scuba dive, she really enjoyed it and might get certified at Monterey as BW was very inviting....

Very nice Mike! I am happy to hear that your wife might get certified. That would be nice for you. Mark and I met up with Ron, Carrie and, their friend, Kent. It was great as we got to go out in Kent's boat with Ron and Carrie. Dove Aumentos and the Chains (?) - beautiful dives. I'll post photos and such later on tomorrow or Wednesday.

Sarah,

I can hardly wait to see how your pics came out. We are still waiting to get our first dive on a boat. We have had many offers from fellow divers but always had prior engagements with other divers.

I want to get my AOW certs any day now as I really want to dive deeper. I would feel more comfortable with my boat dives if I had the experience to go deeper.

I have close to 30 dives already under just open water cert. It would be nice to get out on the boat.

Here's a video of my dive buddy showing me a deco crab... We literally ran into a patch of about 10 to 20 deco crabs all over the sandy bottom hidden within debris... They were hard to spot in the beginning but after we found one the rest just jumped right out....
