I lost my weight pouch at Breakwater today, Mares, black with red handle, left side, 6# soft weight inside.
If found, please contact me, I'll buy you a margarita.
Thanks!

Yup, looking into buying replacements, $50, can't get LeisurePro to respond to my email about which size I need. Once I get the response I can order and be back in business in 3-5 business days.
I figured out a workaround on the way home though, Norbert. I could have stashed the weight into the BCD pocket instead. Wouldn't have been ditchable, but since the weight belt wound up so low as we were getting out, you probably would've been able to ditch that weight if you needed to.
I want to buy those atomic spring straps so long as I'm ordering, and am thinking about looking at new masks when I return my tanks today...

Cool! You'll love the springs for sure.

I also figured out why I wasn't sinking, I forgot to put 6lbs. in the back pockets of my BCD. Less the 2lbs I took off the integral weight pockets, I was 8lbs. under. We'll have a better dive next time :D

Where do you think you might have lost the pouch? It would be best to give us an area so a search pattern might come into play this weekend when I come back to BW.

I am practicing my bouyancy/trim in shallow water and would be more than happy to practice compass navigation.

If I find the pouch that would be a treat and I wouldn't need the Margarita to celebrate. Just the success of the find is the reward in itself. :)

Where did I lose it? Uhm. Hard to say because the landmarks I was using that day are gone (floats)
I can tell you, however, it was in about 22 fsw, the bottom was very sandy with very little grass, no crabs or anything, barren, rippled, and the kelp was to our left. I wish I had a compass heading for you.
Now that I look back I could have done 2 things differently: could have continued to dive but about 6# light on one side to backtrack to try to find pouch (but like I said, viz was really bad) or bought new weights and put them into my zippered pocket to be able to continue the day's dive.
When are you coming out this weekend?
I called Aquarius yesterday and no one had turned any in. I will check back again tomorrow and ask again.

Yeah, 8 lbs. light will do it, won't it?
Sad state, you're 8# light, I'm 6# light, we need a do-over!
Visibility was horrible anyway, next time when there's that many students maybe we should hang out closer to the wall.
Come to find out, people lose their Mares weight pockets all the time, seems to be a design flaw. I know I checked to make sure that they were seated properly before we started. Sucks to have to buy new pockets but at least once I have them I can continue to dive.
I've also decided that I really don't like 3' viz. Let's shoot for 5-10 next time.

Did you mark your weights with your name and phone number or email?

Why not just buy some old weights off craigslist then put it on a belt (with a metal buckle) and just carry one... they want $50 just for the pouch right? ouch
