Just up Sandy Creek arm, same side as WP, if you stayed to right on comanche instead of going into WP you would be taking the route we drove there when I was taking my classes there, all private access only now, or so I've heard. From the lake side, you just follow the tall rocky cliffs past WP to where they come back down to the normal lake level and you're pretty much there.
