Alas, the surf at Vets this afternoon kicked my ass and took my mask right off of my face.

It is (was) an Atomic SubFrame with prescription lenses and a black skirt and a black neoprene strap with "NOAH" emblazoned with yellow paint pen.

Should anyone find it, I'd greatly appreciate it's return and would make that your deed would be suitably rewarded.

I'm from NorCal and am posting this in ScubaBoard and DiveMatrix. If you're involved with another local board or listserve, please feel free to cross-post.

Thanks.

Sorry to hear of your loss Oren. I'll keep my ear to the tracks and see if anyone comes across it.
A photo of the mask in question:

Wow, something at Vets like the taste of masks. It ate mine too last year.

I feel your pain. :depressed:

The gear ogre of Vet's Park strikes again. Your mask is probably in the belly of the same mask-eating beast that ate my blue mask w/purge and blue snorkle w/blue seacure bit last summer and my friend's black Oceanic Shadow in Dec.

Today, the seagods were was particularly hungry for Atomics flavored masks as a lady came into my LDS seeking a replacement mask after sacrificing hers to feed the Vet's Park ogre.

We didn't come across it last night, but maybe when it's not night (or maybe when the shallow vis is a little better) someone will find it. I'll keep my eyes and ears open. Sorry you were not able to come out with us last night....but Vet's sure does like the taste of masks.

The Vets Park beast almost ate my right knee's ACL a year and a half ago. The wave tumbled me and twisted my right knee pretty badly.

The Vet's park SurfBeastdid eat my friend's ACL & MCL a few weeks ago - he's out of commission for therapy and surgery for many months to come.

And the good news is the mask has been found. :)

fisheater, check your mail!

I wish the gods of Malibu were as kind to me... they've eaten TWO of my prescription masks! Grrr...

oh wow, cool. malibu once took a pair of jetfins from me...both on the same day.

Reports are confirmed. My mask IS FOUND!!!

Thanks to all. Special thanks to Ocean Adventures which is shipping it up to me.

I hope that the Gear Monster of Redondo Submarine Canyon caughs up all of your gear, as well.
