I think the concern is that the finder would have no way to view a photo stored on the camera memory of a dead camera.

I don't know from GoPro; does it shoot onto a removable memory card?I think the concern is that the finder would have no way to view a photo stored on the camera memory of a dead camera.

Attention GoPro owners...and other small cameras...A much simpler solution exists...as has been endlessly posted herein. Just shoot a single frame showing your, “If found, please contact...” information. Oh yeah, one last bit of advice. Don’t erase that frame.
Tell me more. Size? Maternal? Placement?
I don't believe a GoPro uses a replaceable disposable battery. I think all you would need is a USB charger like most of us have (I must have 20 of them) and the right cable, which is one of the common types. Also, I think a GoPro turns itself off after some time of inactivity (most cameras do that), in which case even much later it still should have some battery life left.I know there are many posts about putting your name, address, phone number, etc. as a picture on your camera. But if the battery is dead, it might take more time to find a battery and install it, especially if you are diving in a foreign country.
Not a standard charging port. Hoping someone can describe it. Yes, micro card. No computer or adapter to plug it into. Battery DEAD regardless of auto shutoff.
