i droped a GoPro HD hero (3rd gen) on a selfie stick. I lost it Saturday on a night dive getting into the boat. The area was tormentos yucab. Send me a PM if you happen to come across it.

Dang. Found one and was hoping it was yours. Good luck!
Wrong model, no selfie stick on the one I found.

How'd you lose the camera getting onto the boat?

Perhaps others can learn from your faux pas

It was tucked into the waistband. I forgot about it. It fell when I removed my rig to get into the boat.

Always clip off. You could have lost your camera at any point during the dive once you tucked it into your waistband.

So wise! My dive buddy kept telling me to do it. If my camera is found I promise to clip off!

My camera is clipped to my BCD. As I approach the boat (and long before I remove my BCD) I make sure crew on the boat see me with my camera before I unclip it and and it up to them. Only after that do I begin to remove my BCD.

I feel your pain. I did the same thing last October. I was aboard the Vision diving the Northern Channel Islands and on the first dive of the first day I dropped my GoPro on a selfie stick getting back aboard. However, the visibility was so amazing that I just looked down and could actually see it 67 feet down. I told the crew, "Be right back!" dropped down, got my camera, came back up, and handed it to the crew before getting on board myself.

It would be so amazing and wonderful if someone did find your camera and returned it to you. That would be a story I'd love to hear.

Hey, speaking of lost stuff, if anyone finds a weight pocket at Lover's Point in CA with RVG written on it that would be mine. Yeah, that dive sucked. LOL!

It's really not that hard to make that kind of mistake at least once, hopefully someone sees your post because I'm sure it'll be found.

Yup. I've been there too (I lost mine last month). Good luck finding it OP.
