Greetings, all,
This is a long-shot, but just in case:
It seems some of my gear was left behind at Sandwich Town Beach on Saturday, August 4th. *doh* The gear included an older blue BCD, a mask, and possibly a pink mesh bag. (There *may* have been a WGBH bag with a page logging the dive, but it probably got taken along.) My one-step-up-from-PVC-snokel appeared to have floated out of the mask while I was diving, but whatever lucky kiddie later found treasure on the beach is welcome to it. We were near the next-to-last path from the parking lot, a ways down from where East Coast Divers was having a barbeque. FWIW, several weights (2 4-lb and one 2-lb) had fallen off my bumper earlier that morning as I moved to leave room at the entrance, but someone had removed them before 10 am and no one near us on the beach knew about it.
To compound my need for a brain retrofit, a few weeks earlier I left a single 4-lb weight on a new belt at Cathedral Rocks at Cape Ann. Someone in our group saw it and moved it to the top of the hill - but, not knowing whose it was, left it there and then forgot to mention it.
So, if by some slim chance you happen to have come across any or all of the gear, I'd be happy to meet up with you. Perhaps we could even go for a dive!
Lesson learned: Make a check-list of everything, and use it both when packing for the dive and when returning.
Many thanks...
