Lost Equipment at Deer Creek

Hi all,

Just thought I'd put up a post for help. Attempted our first beach dive today. Before ever making it past the surf, I lost my Atomic frameless mask (black) and Oceanic snorkel. The wife lost one of her Plana Avati X-3 fins (blue).

A rather inauspicious beginning to our beach diving careers! But we're stubborn. A trip to the scuba store (and this time we're getting spring straps!!!) and try, try again next week!

Anyway, if you happen to be down around Deer Creek Rd....

Wow, that was just a day after we were there... did the surf pick up?

Dont worry Canis, everyone loses stuff. (not a bad reason to buy cheaper used stuff at first too..)

I'm very glad to hear that the experience didn't daunt you! Better luck on the next dive, and you're already quite lucky that your gear was found and returned to you.
I hope the surf is smaller this weekend.
