Or at least punch a GPS waypoint.

If you have a boat, you should have a "stuff overboard" plan. Mine is

1. Punch a GPS waypoint immedately.
2. Put a two-pounder on the end of the current line and mark the spot.
3. Go get it safely.

I did go back to look for it, but did not have a spare computer or SPG. Looked for about 15 min on a partially full tank and had to come up not knowing how much air I had or how long I was down looking. I did mark it on the GPS and will use those coordinates this weekend to look again. Thanks for the ideas and thoughts.

That makes more sense. I can't imagine someone dropping ~1K worth of computer into 35 ft. of water and not looking for it. Good luck with the search.
