And touch signals!

A triad is a tough grouping if you are buddy diving. I believe all parties should understand that prior to the dive, and an agreement can be made about how to signal stops, moves, turn-abouts, problems, etc., in such a way that all 3 divers get the signal quickly.

In low-vis, swimming shoulder to shoulder helps a bunch as TSandM mentioned, and can facilitate touch signals.

Truly, a good pre-dive plan can make a dive fun, even when things go wrong.
