Haven't been there yet, but am also thinking of going in Nov (we're going somewhere, we just haven't quite figured out where yet). I found comment 3 on post 373975 to be useful. (can't post URLs yet)
Several of my dive friends have visited and dived with Dolphin Dive. They used to own a local shop in Arcadia, CA but now live in Loreto. They all recommend them very highly.

I dove with Dolphin Dive Center in early August, they were very good in my opinion. Can't recommend any place to stay as I was camping. I camped at the El Morro motel, they have a couple rv spots and several rooms. About a block from the dive shop. Nothing special but seemed ok. Their shop is located about a block from the boat launch. Some of the best diving I've done.
