Looking to dive.... Need a mate...

Hey there everyone, well it turns out my regular dive buddy isn't going to be able to make weekends to NC/VA beach/MD etc this year except maybe twice. (I missed all my diving last year: see previous thread) and am in search of someone who might need a dive buddy... I am chomping at the bit right now to go to NC, but really want to go with someone that has done the area some. Really just chomping at the bit to get under the water Also want to check out Milbrook this year... Did a few dives at Rawlings last year.

I live out in Leesburg VA, and own everything cept tanks which makes life pretty easy for me..... AOW certified, 1 dive short of making 20. Still cursing at that LOL, should be closer to 50 (stupid pinched nerve) but anyone need a tag along? Drop me a PM, and lets hook up! I am ready...

Hey there Don, How ya been? I can't do the super dive, I am hosting my own b-day party that weekend or I would be... after that though my sched is pretty much open on the weekends. Was talking with DrSteve about setting a few dives up but he is going to bonaire in a few weeks, so he is out till he gets home...

I'll shoot you a PM tomarrow and we can tag up in the near future....

I am usually up for dives at Millbrook (I only live 10 mins away). Millbrook is not as good as Rawlings but it is a lot closer. The Dive Shop in Fairfax (703-698-7220) has weekly "Fun Dives" on Sundays, just call them for this years schedule. Fun Dives are a way buddyless divers find buddies. I went to a few of the Fun Dives last year and I went to the one they had on Sunday 5/1.

If you want NC diving info check out my buddies the NC Wreck Divers (great bunch of people and divers) on Scubaboard or you can go to their website www.wreckmaniac.com I have been to Lake Rawlings with them twice but got blown out of our NC wreck diving weekend (2-3 April). I am sure they will get a trip together for the summer. One of their members is going to DM for a shop down in Morehead City and I asked him to keep me informed of openings. If the weekend outlook looks good, I will try to head down. I am going to Lake Summersville, WV with the NC Wreck Divers on 3-5 Jun. Check out their website for more info, if you are interested.

If you ever go to Florida make sure to check out the Florida Conch Divers, also great people and divers.
