I'm a Fish!
Alright so, I'm looking into buying a good primary light. I'm a college student, so money is slightly tight. What I'm looking for is a good, relatively powerful light that preferably comes with a Goodman-style handle so I can attach it to my hand.
Any ideas?

Can't afford a can light. Think smaller/cheaper.

What will you be using it for?

I have an extra Halcyon 10watt HID (focusable) I'm willing to sell for $500 (paid $1000). I need to test it to confirm, but I think it could use a new NiMH battery.

As usual, I will check out all the details if you're interested. Price will include shipping.

I dive in slightly more murky waters, so a light does help. And, I'm big on the Great Lakes wrecks, which I manage to get to often. I'd like to have a light to peer into various crevices and what not. Eventually, wreck penetration is in my future, so until I can get the $ for a canister light, I need something a bit smaller and cheaper. What I've been looking at is the Big Blue CF-250 LED or something similar.

For wreck diving is not good backup light - it can be life threatening special in low visibility.
If you don't have money go DIY Dive Lighting or buy used lamp.

you can get parts :http://www.divegearexpress.com/lights/ltparts.shtml

parts you can get from online shops or look on your local shopsmaybe is not bad idea for frst lamp old halogen slug / test tube lamphead with better batery pack like NiMH with blue halogen bulb you can get same effect like hid with the exception of a small CONSUMPTION
