I am looking for a VA/NC dive shop that will be doing a FL springs trip before the end of the year or after the first of the year. I want to try and jump in with a group for this trip, can anyone suggest a shop for me to contact?? If nothing in this area, maybe a FL shop that can help us out. Any and all suggestions would be great.

Thanks.

Dive Quarters in VB does one in either March or April.

Does anyone know what time of year is the best to swim with the Manatee??

Iirc, manatees are in inland waters, crystal river, etc., once coastal waters cool off. Around Nov. to April.

Our LDS does regular trips down through the winter and spring. They'll include you if you don't find a local shop/group to go with.

see what rum runners in greenville nc has planned. i'm reasonably sure they go to nfl in the winter.

I usually go every Lee/Jackson-King weekend in January. I have been many times and usually stay around High Springs and the last time I went i went to a couple of lesser know springs I'd never been to before. (Troy and Peacock Springs)

I have previously been to Ginnie Springs, Blue Grotto, and Devil's Den several times in the past.

I have been to see the Manatees at Crystal River a couple of times too. Usually incorporate Rainbow River drift dive along with that trip.

If you want to join me that weekend let me know.

Trying to keep all my options open right now. I am looking at anything and everything. Our high school and one elementary school was destroyed during the recent earthquake, so my middle school daughter now has school every other Sat. and I have to make sure that whatever we do does not interfer with her schooling. But keep me updated, as to when you are going, please. Are you doing DUI in Oct?

We live right in the midst of it all and can assist you with a trip, etc. Just check out our website and let us know when coming down and we will plan something out. We have our dive group coming over Veteran's Day weekend to camp out at our place and are planning to hit quite a few of the different Springs and check out the DUI Day at Manatee Spring....if you are interested.
