Types of Scubapro split fins the Twin Jet with the single compound and the Twin Jet Max with the 2 compounds. How do they compare to each other. I currently have Mares Avantiquattro and I am not a really big fan of them because I have alot of leg pain , it feels like the fins are way to big to move in the water.

I used the "original" twin jets until last spring. They are a softer fin than the TJ Max. Less control, short flutter kicks etc. I tried my new TJ Max fins out in Cozumel and have never returned to the originals. The Max is a bit stiffer allowing alot more fin control, more thrust even in currents. When diving with others using regular TJ I kick one to their three. They are awesome.
