has anyone dove in CT before? any nice spots around here?

i want to check out a few places in Rhode island but haven't had a chance. i was told by many that Jamestown is absolutely terrible, yet people dive there dont know why. i want to see if i can go dive in Galilee, RI. i have been there before just to go to the beach and it looks nice.

and in mass, i have only dove at back beach, Cape Ann and the pole diving.

can anyone recommend some nice spots for me?

oh come on, i know somby has to have dived in CT or Ri before. :)

My dive buddy lives in CT. He dives in RI. Do you have a boat? If you do then there are places to dive that you can get to easily from CT though it may not actually be CT maybe NY or RI. CT is not a great place to ocean dive which is a shame because it does have a lot of coast line. If you want to dive RI, Newport is where you should go. Much better than Jamestown IMO.

thanks for the tip. ill give Newport a try. im assuming the open ocean part of newport is where to dive right (east side)? because the west side is in the same bay that jamestown is in.
