Hi,

I'm looking for OEM service kits for MK2 and Air2 Gen5, as well as a couple of shims for MK2 (IP is a tad too low). Checked ebay, talked to friendly LDS, but they have firmly refused.

Might someone be able to help me with these?

Thanks!

Why OEM (especially the Mk-2)?
It's just my preference. Besides, I also need shims, and chances are, if I can source the shims from one place, I'll be able to get the kits there as well.

For the mk2:
the “hard” part is the HP seat (you can flip it once already)
The rest is the orings 008, 111, 015, 022 (023 for evo) and the filter

I get my LP/HP seats, shims and such from EU sources like gidive (oem) or scubagaskets (clones)

I do have 1 Service kit for the Evo and 2 for the plus, and I can part with either (but I’m in the EU and shipping costs might not be in your favor)

No idea about the Air2 parts, but I suspect the most critical part is the LP seat which can be literally punched from a 2mm edpm sheet with a 5/16 punch, and some orings
I have service tools for it that I got with a batch that I don’t use, so O can part with them as well (I have a gen3 that I’ll never use, just keep it for show)

Arguably there's also filter, and orings 010 and 111. Plus IDK whether the material matters, it seems that Scubapro is using both EP and PU. Where do people usually source these generic orings, if not at scubagaskets?

Can you please quote me two MK2+ kits and shipping to Edinburgh, UK?

Being in the EU I sourced from scubagaskets (sg) the EPDM orings, and I was gonna suggest based on your location in the US to go with McMaster (which seem to have no „scuba tax“ on oring prices)

Filters are easy to get either from Pihrana or SG or GiDive, JonasDive…
Shims too

but if your shipping to the UK might not be a bad idea to source from an EU online shop what you need (be it a kit or parts) — shipping shouldn’t be too prohibitive

I can check the shipping costs and DM you with details about my kits (but my altruistic advice is to assemble your own kit if possible, the reason I am willing to oart with the service kits I have is that I sourced enough seats, filters and orings separately after the fact — at a better price — to make the oem service kit redundant )

Thanks, you're right. I was able to find both HP seat and filter at GiDive. That together with o'rings from e.g. theoringstore should make MK2 serviceable just fine, I just wish I could get o'rings in smaller numbers.

Not much luck with shims and Air2 Gen5 however. I'll keep looking.

Btw neither the mk2+ nor evo service kits have shims in them

I found the exact evo one (01.060.219) available at botg scubagaskets and divedepo.eu

The evo has a slightly wider piston (and I assume spring), but knowing Scubapro and how they like to reuse parts the shim is probably the same size as the plus; the seats are the same

How low is the IP at 50~30bar anyways? (And does it really need a shim?)
