Looking for Nice Boats to SB

Hi Everyone!

I met another diver while on vacation who would LOVE to dive with the sea lions! I told him about my experience on the Pacific Star, but I want to give him a list of other boats that dock in So Cal (so he can make a choice), but make treks up to Santa Barbara. I know there's the Peace, but what other boats would you recommend?

BTW...this diver has 20+ years of diving experience, but has NEVER dove in cold water! He'll be in for a shock!

sundiver, great escape, pacific star, and magician will be your nicest options, imho...that should narrow the list down...

Thanks for all the schedules. I have the listing for the boats, I was specifically looking for which people would actually recommend.

Scott...I didn't know the Magician goes up to SB...I've been on 3 of the 4 boats you've recommended....good choices!

The only SoCal boat I have tried is the Spectre out of Ventura to Anacapa and Santa Cruz. It is run by 'Cal Boat Diving'. I got to do 2 dives with sealions out of 7 dives. Both dives were awesome, even if the viz for those dives wasn't as good as it could be.

I also liked that you can stay on the boat the night before your dives for free.
