Do you have any experience with the actual wing or do you just mean in general? Cheers
I never had one but the DIRZone wings have been very popular and very common in northern Europe for quite a while now. They started out as Halcyon copies +15 or so years ago and I've never really seen any bad reviews or heard people complain about their stuff. Kinda like the Santi/DUI situation when they started. Later I found out that DTD makes the DIRZone stuff (after they made the DIRZone Diamond SM rig, which was also sold by subgravity) but DTD as a brand isn't well known. They don't really do marketing as far as I can tell.

I was referring to your Xdeep comment

Here’s a better pic of the inflator hose location on the Subgravity wing which we now think is DTD. Doesn’t look centrally located to me.
Some brands ask the OEM to alter stuff and change design features. I don't know if the SG wing are exactly like the DIRZone and DTD wings. They should be the same quality though.

I'm doing a lot of guessing here though.

I just never liked the brand, their stuff and how they give free stuff to people to do 'reviews' without being transparent about it (which is technically illegal in Germany at least). IMHO they're a marketing firm first and a (cheap) gear manufacturer second.
It's probably ok gear, I just don't like the company and how they do business.

Does the DTD use generic parts? In your opinion is one better than the other? The DTD is only $211 USD $328 AUD and has blue on it, I like blue.

They're a quality wing. Can't go wrong with them. Not flashy but otherwise good. On the same level of quality as xDeep, while it's a bit basic. The K inflator is somewhat standardized but it's not the classic standard k inflator with plastic buttons that's on diverite, xdeep and DGX. I've seen some of them seized up due to metal buttons. But it's serviceable.

The screw in is a bit different, but I think it accepts the standard dump valve. While the dump valve is the same on the xdeep and on my old DGX.

In the end, YMMV, but it's a good quality piece. But I like the quality and the feel of my xdeep a bit more. The DTD is too stiff, and the straps were also too stiff (but you're only looking for the wing so it doesn't apply).

As for the xdeep comment's and feels. I don't like the fancy "high end" stuff and I think they're a gimmick. The standard stuff is great quality and robust. And I love my sidemount wing. I've compared it to both DTD diamond and Tecline, and my xdeep is much more ergonomic and streamlined than both of them, especially since the bladder is kidney shaped and does not inflate in the top for sidemount. And the drysuit is definitely the best drysuit I've used and handled. Miles better than the clubs Santi and an Ursuit I've tried.

Thank you for your detailed response, it was helpful.

In inflator hose on the DTD central or over to the left side?
