If the company is bankrupt or going trough liquidation all money on the company account is transferred to a holding account that the person you talked to has no access to. Giving away a IBAN is safe, a lot safer than giving away a credit card number.
 
Simon I’d challenge your bank on the chargeback window. It’s typically 3 months - 30 days seems like a very short window.
 
Update. He's reading my text messages, says he's going to contact me again but does not. I'm irritated.

Do NOT give your bank account details to a party of dubious character. Give them paypal and be prepared to write it off.

I have one less than a meter from me staring me in the face. They're still in production and they 're still a pretty good mic.

 
Back in August I ordered direct from Agir-Brokk an STA. I received receipt of order confirmation but then heard nothing for over a month.

I emailed them three times enquiring where my order was. No reply.

About two weeks ago Mr. Agir rang me to say they had none in stock (why take my money?) but he would look in the warehouse to see if he had one ona shelf. Told me he'd call me back the next day. Crickets.

Now emails are bouncing back, phone goes through to message, I cannot speak Swedish, and website link now says "cannot connect to server".

Not impressed.

Does anyone know if they have gone under?

I can't charge back on my CC as bank says it's longer than 30 days.

Any help would be appreciated.

Mr Agir, called me we spoke for about an hour, it's a bit hard for me to understand his English, which is better than my Swedish, but seems he's a lot going on at present. My feeling is he's a genuine guy swimming in a pool of poo. He assures he he will make this right.

i know Tord very well, he has at moment a lot of problems but if he say he will give the money back, it will come back... just call and call and call....
