Hi guys. I am fairly new to the board, and have found a lot of great information here. I was certified in September and am looking to get more involved in diving. I have finally put together a set of gear and am ready to get back into the water. I am looking for people to dive with in the OC/Laguna Beach area. I am usually available to dive on the weekends and some late afternoons (2 or 3ish). Please let me know if anyone is interested. Thanks.

I was certified last July, so I am a fairly new diver as well. I dive with a couple of buddies that are fairly new to diving as well. We usually dive in Laguna Beach. Both of them work for a CPA firm and will not be able to dive as much due to tax season. Send me a PM if you want to dive or post on the board. I'm sure others will chime in with invites as well, as most on the board are friendly.

Hey there! You found the right place for diving. I did my cert in Nov '04 and I'm down in South OC too....

There's a couple of groups that dive on a regular basis in OC. I've recently found out (and plan on diving with) a group called South Orange County Dive Club - http://www.southcoastdivers.com/ They dive every Saturday & Sunday morning in Laguna. Meetup at Laguna Hills Mall @ 7:30 AM and then leave @ 7:45 AM. Lots of really nice folks and all sorts of experience levels... They also have night dives and Wednesday morning dives too. I know there's even more on http://orange.divebums.com too

There's also the "Wrinkles Dive" that's coming up - La Jolla Shores this weekend on Saturday.

Have fun!

Welcome to the board and to diving. As long as conditions are suitable for diving and I can sneak away, I am always up for a dive. Laguna Beach, Palos Verde, Redondo or Malibu. I dive weekdays, nights or weekends. http://www.sandeaters.org will get you wet every Sunday or if you use the e-mail list just about any other day you want.

Aside from all these great recommendatins, you might check out the Laguna Sea Dwellers dive club (http://www.lagunaseasports.com/seadwellers/default.asp). Like the South Orange County Divers, they are affiliated with Laguna Sea Sports (the shop just above Shaw's Cove in Laguna Beach). Aside from getting discounted air fills, they have a dive buddy program where they pair up new divers with experienced divers.

Hi everyone,

Welcome to those that are new to scuba!!! May you find it addicting as I have! As Lexy mentioned in an earlier post, check out http://www.southcoastdivers.com/SOCDC
If you want to find buddies or an active dive club, this IS the ONE! The club litterally dives every Wednesday/ Friday/ Saturday/ and Sunday mornings; every 1st and 3rd Monday Nights; and every 2nd and 4th Tuesday nights. We also dive Casino Point, Catalina every odd month on the third Saturday. Those that can't make it to Casino Point, still meet up at the mall on that Saturday. You do not have to be a 'Club Member' to join in on Club Dives. We do ask that you have dove with the group a few times and have a couple of night dives under your belt before joining in on the night activities.

For more club activities and events, click on the link above. We have our next club meeting the 2nd Wednesday of the month at Fuddruckers in Lake Forest off El Toro Road beginning at 6:30pm. Check us out!!! Or come dive with me, Monday February 7th!
