(Incidentally, I had to look for where I put them, too, as I'd apparently never linked it in to my main page. There's a little link now at the root of ClayJar.com, so I shouldn't lose them again... maybe I should add a small URL to the edge, too...)

I hope you don't mind me asking, but I'm curious: What exactly would you want to do with a PDF that you couldn't do with this .gif file?

The PDF isn't rasterized, so it'll scale to print resolutions much more nicely. The source files (for OpenOffice.org's apps) add in editability on top of that.

ok guys heres mine after a lil work i redid it to be a full page word doc... My original version is the size of the normal small (i.e PADI) log books.. any comments?? suggestions?? feel free to use it if you want or PM me and I will email you the smaller two logs on a page version

i just found the files but couldnt regognize the format as i deleted openoffice a while ago
anyways
thank you very much now i can get back to printing my own again

Oooh... should I get the Linux version, the Mac version, or the one that runs on Windows 98? I shouldn't have a problem getting it to run on the Pentium III, eh? I've got a whole 200MB free on the hard drive.

i need to stay legal with some of the programs i use like microsoft office and anything that goes on my server as that will soon be up and i dont want any troubles
now if you ask me where i got PS CS2 thats a different story
and as far as torrents are concerened i honestly never really got around to them.
i still use limewire when i need it *hangs head in shame* but i do not share anything cause im a bandwith hog

Just to clarify one thing, call it a disclaimer if you will; In most countries, downloading and installing applications that is not freeware or shareware would be illegal. That includes programs like Photoshop and Microsoft office..

That said; I HATE TORRENTS!
They increase your latency dramatically, resulting in slower browsing of webpages and lag if you play online games.. Almost as bad as Norton Internet Security..

Wait, are you saying he should thank *you*? You didn't get him the file he was looking for. The PDF you created from the GIF was every bit as rasterized as if he had used the GIF directly.

The original is not rasterized (which looks crappy when printed), yours is. The original is two half-sheets per US Letter page (to fit in many standard logbooks), yours is not. The original has a proper center gutter in which to punch holes (for those three-ring zippered logbooks), yours does not. The original is two US Letter pages to facilitate easy printing on printers capable of automatic double-sided printing, yours is not.

While the fact you did something to try to help ought not be discounted, you did not get him the file he requested, and although *I* would likely have thanked you for the effort if I were the OP, that would be only because age and experience have taught me to be more thankful for people's time and effort. He's still young; he'll learn. He was quite adequately grateful when I came forward with the actual files he was looking for.

(Incidentally, JACKPOT!!! Er, well, personal post 777 at least. )
