My buddies and I are going to be in the Venice Fl area diving starting the day after Thanksgiving this year. We are looking for a good campground for tent camping. Can anyone point me in the right direction? We will be there shark tooth diving, more questions on that topic at a later time. Thanks

Also be aware, we have a big ScubaBoard event at Venice Beach at that time to - The annual Saturday After Thanksgiving Turkey Fry and Fossil Dive!

Highly recommend Oscar Scherer State Park. They have nicely separated, spacious camping areas on a creek. Close to Venice and convenient to Sarasota and Interstate 75. (/QUOTE]

I second that motion. I'd stayed there a few years ago very nice park. Full camp sites state park can't beat the prices. Get your reservation in early they mite fill up. If I remember you can do everything on line even check sites available.
