My family is just about to leave for our third trip to Beaches Turks and Caicos. Can't beat Beaches for family vacation - for diving or otherwise. Amazing activities for kids of all ages. Amazing food. Great diving - if you like sharks! There is some amazing snorkelling at Smith's Reef too. In the summer we saw eagle rays, nurse sharks and turtles while snorkelling there. You would need to take a taxi or rent a car.
