I know this won't work for most US divers, but since I'm from Canada, maybe some other Canadians (or other nations) view this forum as well.

Here's the story, and you decide if you (or I) qualify.

I have a friend, who is a DM in CUBA. On a recent dive, he located what "might" be an undiscovered wreck off the coast in Cuba. They only saw it from above, as they were not geared to go that deep. (he was leading a "resort group" of Divers) .

Carlos, (my DM buddy in Cuba) has asked me to see if I can get a team together, in Cuba, to see what's there. He's willing to lead the team. No Guarentees for course, It might be just a rotting hull.

I'm NOT a certified Tech Diver, but I do have fair experience in Deco stops/slung tanks, and have my own gear ready to go.

If anyone is interrested in checking this out, please let me know.

My first thought was to "rag on you" based on your "title", if I could... But, I honestly hope you find some who are willing to make the dive...

I was part of a support team for Sue Hendrickson (Sue Hendrickson - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) in Cuba. She was working with Carisub, an organization of national Cuban Marine Archaeologists, searching for Spanish wrecks in Cuban waters. The project ultimately got shut down by Castro and he disbanded Carisub.

(I have many experiences surrounding this, but nothing I can post here...)

Point being, be careful diving unknown wrecks in Cuban waters. Castro's brother may not be too keen on it...
