I've had two Slipstreams fold where the footpocket meets the widening fin. They seem like they are made of plastic, and don't have that rubbery feel you get from some fins. Shame, because they fit my warmwater boots so well.

That's always been the goofy part of diving the Jets, you find the size that sorta-fits-you, then you find boots that fit whatever size Jets you bought. :eyebrow: They're still my favorite, though.

UTD just announced a pair, a little over your price range though. Haven't seen or tried them.
REALLY disappointed to see the "drain holes in foot pocket" on these. A wiser diver than I once taught me (right here on SB, no less!) that the water in the footpocket is perfect for washing sand off your boots after a shore dive.

Obviously, YMMV.
