I'm finding myself in the market for a new dive computer and am looking for suggestions. Used to dive quite a bit, but have been out of the dive scene for several years. Want to get back into it and looking to get acquainted with the latest technology. Looking for a "Puck" style that I can use with my console. I'm doing a bit of looking around on the web at different models, but always interested in hearing users suggestions and thoughts on what they use or have used.

Thanks!

I would imagine most here would say to go with a Perdix. That’s what I use, and I would not want anything else.

I suspect you're going to get a lot of different opinions... for a puck, I like the Oceanic Veo 2.0... it fits most consoles, and you can choose between two different algorithms for more or less conservative diving...just my opinion...

There are a number of good "puck" style computers on the market today. Depending on whether or not you want Air Integration, which deco algorithm you want to use, your budget, what kind of diving you are going to do, etc., the right computer is there. I also have a Perdix and like it very much, but I also have a Hollis DG03, which is a puck style. You can't find them new. I bought mine used. There are several threads on here already that discuss the pros and cons of various computers. I would suggest that once you answer the question (to yourself) what kind of diving you will be doing, get something a little more robust so you can expand your horizons and won't have to buy another computer to accommodate the additional types of diving you may do. Don't forget to watch the computers for sale threads here on SB.

The Oceanic Geo is a little bigger with larger fronts. (My eyesight gets worse the longer I dive) I think it works in consoles also.

The Veo 2 runs DSAT and PZ+, not sure if you can buy just the computer module to put in a console. Console with SPG goes for $400, computer for $300. The Aqualung version, i300, runs only PZ+

I don't believe the DG03 is available any more. Recently came off the Dive Gear Express website. It ran only PZ+

I can't get anything right. I DID say I bought my DG03 used. I DID FORGET to say it's not available new. About the Geo - I just looked at them online and somehow thought they would fit into a console similar to the Veo. BTW: The DG03 that I bought used (with 0 dives on it) also runs PZ+ (at least that's what I think based on the manual), which is close enough to my Perdix (IMO) to act as a back-up. It's also AI.
I'll shut up now.
To the OP: I have been advised that my exhalations are smoke-filled. Please ignore my smoke signals.
To @scubadada: Thank you (seriously) for illuminating my ignorance.
