I am looking for a couple of divers that my husband took his 1st OW course from in 1969 in Kansas City. The instructor was Don Griffin a former UDT diver. The other is Bill Gould he was Don's assistant. The class was taught at the Jewish Community Center at 87th and Holmes.

If anyone knows of the these guys we would love to know how they are and where they are.

Thanks,
Becky

The first question most will ask is "what agency was it??" Second is "did they just use the Jewish Center's pool or was the class thru the Center?" If they used the pool, were they freelance instructors or working with a shop? Is that shop still around? Any chance the Center has any info on them? Good luck.

Believe it or not no agency - it was before C-cards were required. No shop - Don was free-lance Instructor. I think he probably "rent" his students gear from some shop but don't know which one - chances they aren't around. I will check with the Center to see if by chance they have an info. We do believe he went to some place in the Caribbean to run a Dive Shop.
